Tribal Support – Water Filters

Water Filters
Over 10,000 tribal families are living in interior forest habitations of Bhadradri Kothagudem area in 149 habitations spread across 60kms radius. Many of these tribals (Gond Adivasis) had migrated from Chhattisgarh over last 30 to 40 years.

These people rely on natural streams of water which is often very muddy and contaminated, leading to many ailments and skin diseases.
Rural Hope Foundation in collaboration with IDO team took up an initiative to provide water filters to as many tribal families as possible. These natural water filters work with nano technology “no electricity, no chemicals, zero maintenance cost” and have a reusable washable filter. Rural Hope Foundation is planning to provide water filters to atleast 500 families this year.
