Tribal Health Center Construction, Gattumalla, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana

  • Supported construction of Tribal Health Center with 75% funds for Phase 1:

    The interior tribal and rural villages in the district do not have easy access to healthcare facilities.

    • Nearly 25% of population i.e. 1 out of 4 suffers from non-communicable diseases.
    • About 75% of pregnant women do not get access to antenatal screening.
    • More than 80% of deliveries are conducted at home.
    • Infant mortality rate is 4 times higher & maternal mortality rate is also higher than the national average.
    • Prevalence of malnutrition, malaria & tuberculosis is higher in the region.
    • 90% of population in the region falls under lower socio-economic category, which is why most of them cannot afford to visit hospitals.
    • Poor Health Seeking behavior/Traditional beliefs amongst the tribals to reach out.
    • The nearest medical facility is over 20 kms from the villages which increases the difficulty for the patients.


    Our Goal for this health center is to provide high quality, compassionate, culturally appropriate & ethical medical care to the tribal & rural community in and around Bhadradri Kothagudem district. This will bring universal healthcare access to over 15,000 people.

Tribal Health Clinic, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana

  • Supported Tribal Health Clinic with a doctor and community health worker Tribal people are utilizing this clinic as their go to hospital for all medical needs. Basic health care is given here. Many health issues are being identified early. If it’s critical, they are admitted to the local government hospital, which is more than 50 miles away. This clinic is serving 50 tribal hamlets with total population of 10000. This is saving lives. Rural Hope Foundation is supporting this clinic since Aug 2020.

Medicines for Tribal Families, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana

  • Provided free medicines to all patients at Tribal Health Clinic for the month of January
  • Provided free medicines to all patients at Tribal Health Clinic for the month of July
  • Provided free medicines to all patients at Tribal Health Clinic for the month of September
  • Provided free medicines to all patients at Tribal Health Clinic for the month of December

Hemoglobin Meters for Tribal Healthcare

  • Handed 36 Hemoglobin meters to tribal health workers to provide healthcare to tribal families in BHadradri Kothagudem, Telangana. These Hemoglobin meters are helping us identify anemia early and support malnourished children and mothers with protein powder.

Tribal Community Health Worker Training

  • Trained 50 community health workers 3 days a month from January to December 2022 in all areas of medical care so that they can provide basic health care services in tribal hamlets. This is saving lives. Supporting this program since Jan 2021. (Jan 2021 – Dec 2022).

Protein Powder to 350 Malnourished Tribal Children/Mothers (Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana)

  • Protein Powder to children, pregnant women and lactating mothers: Started providing protein powder supplement to children, pregnant women and lactating mothers in 16 tribal hamlets in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana. Severe malnutrition is observed in children and women in these interior forest habitations. Identified 350 children and women. Each one is given 60grams of protein powder per day at a set time by a health volunteer (total 1.8kgs of protein powder is given to each person per month). Progress is closely monitored and measured every 3 months. Thanks to all our donors for supporting this program. Thanks to Dr. Naren and Dr. Kapil Sharma for leading this program (Protein powder is made with roasted Bengal gram, peanuts, wheat, jowar and jaggery).This is saving lives. This is an ongoing program since May 2020.

  • 1 month Groceries to 100 families: Handed groceries – Wheat Floor, rice, dal, cooking oil, spices and other items to 100 families in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. (Dec 2022).
  • 1 month Groceries to 10 families: Handed groceries – Rice, dal, cooking oil, spices and other items to 10 families in Rajam, Srikakulam district, AP. They perform in multi-talent shows through Swayamkrushi Divyangula Talent show. (July 2022).
  • 1 month Groceries to 37 families: Handed groceries – Wheat Floor, rice, dal, cooking oil, spices and other items to 37 families in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. (Jan 2022).

Matruchaya Orphanage (Nutakki, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh)

  • Clothes: Handed 144 pairs of clothes to Matruchaya Kids (December 2022).
  • Clothes: Handed 58 pairs of clothes to Matruchaya Kids (January 2022).
  • Backup Power Supply (Inverter Batteries): Handed 2 big batteries for the inverter at Matruchaya to provide backup power supply to the orphanage. (March 2022).
  • Groceries: Handed groceries to Matruchaya to support them for a month (500kgs rice, cooking oil, dal, pulses, spices and other items). (September 2022).

  • After School Snacks: Continuing the after school snacks program that was started in Jan 2019, providing heathy, nutritious snacks to kids. (Jan-Dec 2022).
  • Milk for Health: Continuing milk for health program that was started in Jan 2019, providing each kid with a cup of milk per day. (Jan-Dec 2022).

20 Solar Lights in 6 Tribal Hamlets

  • Installed 20 solar lights in 6 tribal hamlets: 20 solar lights were installed in 6 interior tribal hamlets in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana. 206 families have benefited with this program.

Tribal Schools Support in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana

  • Supporting 2 tribal schools in Bhadradri Kothagudem area. These schools at Marrigudem and Ontigudesa tribal hamlets are providing education to 50 kids. Thanks to Dr. Naren, Dr. Kapil and team for leading this initiative. Thanks to all our donors for enabling Rural Hope Foundation to support these schools. Supporting tribal schools since March 2020. Scholarships, School Fee, Teachers’ Salaries

  • Recruited 7 additional teaching staff at 5 schools to supplement students’ education and paid teaching staff’s salaries for this year (2022)
  • School Fees to 2 kids: Paid school fees for 2 high school kids who lost one parent due to Covid in 2021. Paying school fees since July 2021. (July2021-June2022, July2022-June2023)
  • College Fees to 8 students: Paid college fees for 8 tribal girl students that are pursuing bachelor’s degree in nursing, dairy science and agriculture.(July2022- June2023)

  • Merit Awards: Handed merit awards to 5 students for excellence in studies at a Z.P.High School, Nutakki, Andhra Pradesh (August 2022)

School Infrastructure
